I visited Matera in August 2013, together with my daughter. It's a very special city and, from a photographic point of view, for me it's a city in black and white like in old postcards.
One of the most fascinating places for me was the Timone belvedere from which you can enjoy an incredible view of the Matera of the stones. Many photos of this gallery made with the telephoto lens + duplicator were taken from this place.
I can not forget that this same place was the film set of the film The Passion of Mel Gibson. The scenes of the Calvary and the passion of Christ remained in my eyes and in my heart as well as the views of Matera that emerged in the background.
